Ravenslade worked with a long-standing client on a number of healthcare projects, providing a full range of project management, cost management, and design services.

Internal Refurbishment – Devon
This sensitive refurbishment project delivered a high-quality finish following an intensive design process, addressing technical challenges to meet NHS-specific HBN requirements within the constraints of an existing building. Works included the installation of new VRF/VRV air conditioning and MHVR ventilation systems, with the latter achieving 10 air changes per hour. The high cellular segregation of the floor layout, including specialist rooms, required careful agreement on a detailed fire strategy and complex fire compartmentation design. The project was completed ahead of schedule with zero snags.

Demolition – North Devon District Hospital, Barnstaple
Ravenslade managed the demolition of the former Social Club, an important step in preparing the site for future hospital development. The cleared area was subsequently developed to provide mobile scanner bays, freeing space for the hospital’s ongoing expansion and improvement of healthcare facilities.

Replacement of External Doors and Windows – Bideford Abbotsvale Hospital
Ravenslade provided an in-house, multi-disciplinary team offering project management, architectural design, cost management, and principal designer services to deliver the replacement works efficiently and to a high standard.
