OUR PROJECTS

Bradley Lane, Newton Abbot

Ravenslade delivers robust costed options for Teignbridge’s Bradley Lane redevelopment, shaping a 159-home riverside masterplan amid complex industrial-site constraints

As part of the wider masterplan for Newton Abbot, Ravenslade were appointed by Teignbridge District Council via Montagu Evans to prepare a cost appraisal for the redevelopment of part of the Bradley Lane Industrial Estate.

Our scope was to provide a costed options appraisal for delivering residential accommodation on the site. The proposal comprised 159 new homes—a mix of houses and apartments—with frontage onto the River Lemon. The brief also explored the potential to convert existing buildings to residential use.

The site presented a number of constraints associated with its former industrial uses, all of which needed to be taken into account within the appraisal. Our cost options reflected these constraints and drew upon specialist ground investigation and land-remediation reports, clearly identifying key risks for the client.
